The UK government has identified the value of developing a hydrogen economy to support the drive to Net Zero which has seen a surge in regional interest with the development of Hydrogen South West, Western Gateway’s hydrogen mapping and additional investments from WECA.

In order to build on this government initiative, UoB are keen to form relationships between academia and industry partners so that we can combine our efforts to create solutions together. These free seminars will be both a learning and networking opportunity, with a chance to hear about the current research at The University and in industry, as well as meet with academics and other partners. To initiate collaborative projects in this area we have secured some funding that can support several small scale projects. Initial conversations about the availability of these funds can be had at the events, and there will be a light touch application process to follow. This money could be used for people exchange, consultancy and travelling.
