Exploring hydrogen market trends webinar
Join SETsqaured for an informative webinar exploring some of the core market trends in the hydrogen sector.
The demand for hydrogen in the UK has been increasing significantly over the past few years, and this trend is only expected to continue. For those in the UK, it is anticipated that 250-460 TWh of hydrogen may be needed by 2050. This is driven by various factors, including the government’s commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and the increasing adoption of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. As a result, the opportunity within hydrogen and sustainable transport technologies is huge, and the market size for hydrogen in the United Kingdom is expected to witness considerable growth. Similarly, the forecasted increase of investment in hydrogen infrastructure and the development of new production technologies is expected to boost market growth both domestically and internationally.
Led by Hydrogen & Sustainable Transport Economy Accelerator Sector Manager, Dr Yuchen Gu at SETsqaured, this one-hour session will dive into the key market trends you need to be aware of in the Hydrogen space.
Joining us will be Gillian Montanaro from Innovate UK Business Growth, who will be speaking about the Global Business Innovation Programme. She will be highlighting the support available from the Edge Team for start-ups and SMEs exploring global markets associated with hydrogen and sustainable transport, and, their adjacent sectors.
Also speaking will be Stuart McKnight, Founder and CEO of Suiso, a start-up hydrogen company. Stuart will discuss Susio’s business journey so far, introducing their novel hydrogen technology, as well as how they pioneer various markets around the world.
A follow-on panel discussion, featuring Abdul Chowdhury, will explore some of the opportunities within the hydrogen space right now, and the trends we’re expecting to see over the next five to ten years.
SETsqaured is a unqiue enterprise partnership and a dynamic collaboration between six leading research-led UK universities of Bath, Bristol Cardiff, Exeter, Southamption and Surrey. They provide a wide range of highly acclaimed support programmes to help turn ideas into thriving businesses.
