Hydrogen South West members help progress the Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan
Hydrogen South West member, The Bristol Port Company, hosted a stakeholder workshop run by SevernNet on 20th June, to support the development of the West of England Industrial Cluster’s Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan.
The workshop was focussed on identifying and connecting key projects and initiatives, finding synergies and accelerating opportunities for new developments. It was attended or supported by a number of Hydrogen South West members, including Wales and West Utilities, EDF Hynamics, Wessex Water and Wild Hydrogen.
Reflections from the workshop will inform key workstreams including developing a regional emissions baseline, anchor project pipeline, decarbonisation pathways and targets.
John Chaplin said “The Bristol Port Company is a key supporter of the Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan, which we think could accelerate commercial opportunities and inward investment into Portbury Avonmouth Severnside. The port is a founding member of SevernNet, which has been working with businesses and communities in the region for 15 years, has a deep knowledge of local objectives and priorities and is ideally placed to connect with stakeholders at all levels.”
