Passenger Terminal World features HSW

Passenger Terminal World, a report which outlines daily news for airport operators, has featured an update on our hydrogen cluster.

The article explores the important role hydrogen can play in cutting emissions and ensuring a greener future for airport operations, as part of ambitions to combat climate change.

Hydrogen South West was outlined within the piece as “bringing together a group of nine leading organisations covering aerospace, shipping, high-tech engineering and public utilities to create an infrastructure ecosystem that will bring the benefit of hydrogen to the southwest of England.”

Both the Hydrogen Hub at Bristol Port and Airbus’s Zero Emission Development Centre for Hydrogen Technologies were highlighted among other key projects for the group.

Our Chair, Simon Earles, was asked to describe the Hydrogen South West initiative. Within his response, Simon outlined the importance of “Hydrogen (being) the dominant energy source for flight in the markets that Bristol Airport is primarily involved in.”
